BROAD SOLIDARITY FOR FREEDOM AND EQUALITY IN IRAN

Call for an end to all use of capital punishment

On the World Day Against the Death Penalty, we call for an end to all use of capital punishment. State-sanctioned killing, referred to as executions, is a tool that the Iranian regime uses to intimidate and suppress dissent, particularly among various ethnics, and religious groups within the country.

The implementation of this practice not only strips citizens of their fundamental right to life but also stands in stark contrast to basic human values and human rights principles.

Although the Islamic regime of Iran shows no hesitation in taking lives, this inhumane practice has never deterred freedom-loving individuals. Instead, it has strengthened the resolve of justice-seekers to pursue the path of freedom with even greater determination, striving for the overthrow of this regime.

Considering that 45 years of executions have incurred no significant cost for the regime of Iran on the international stage, and taking advantage of the indifference of countries that have turned a blind eye to the bloodshed in exchange for oil and trade, the regime’s officials have been emboldened to accelerate this killing machine daily, increasing the number of executions at every turn.

The "Congress of Nationalities for a Federal Iran" and the "Broad Solidarity for Freedom and Equality in Iran," condemn the executions in Iran as 'state-sanctioned killings by the ruling regime of Iran' and declare our unconditional support for all organizations actively involved in the 'No to Executions' movement.
